The CORK2SENSE project aims to develop efficient and innovative solutions for application in cork stoppers , in order to address two inherent problems in the use of these products in the alcoholic beverage bottling , particularly contamination of wine by TCA , and “yellowing” in high -alcohol beverages . With an investment of 284,301.39 Euros, CORK2SENSE project was financed by Portugal 2020 , under the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Internationalization ( COMPETE 2020) , in the amount of 159,941.11 Euros from the European Regional Development Fund .
The project has the duration of 24 months, starting in January 2016.
